A getaway for dog walkers, coffee drinkers and laptop workers. Although, if coffee is not your thing – I’m sure they can sort you out with a pot of tea. However, this is a coffee blog and therefore it goes without mention that they serve some great coffee here. So much so, you can even buy the beans they grind from their website.
Ok – so our first ground is covered. Good coffee. What’s next? Quite simply, this is one of the best places you can find if you want a beautiful view of the East Kent Coast – as you can see in the hero image. From inside it is limited depending on where you are seated – however from the outside seating it’s certainly quite the panorama. Although – this might be something to save for the Summer months – something myself I am yet to experience.
Coffee and views aside it without mention that the team here are quite simply great. I have not had a smile and occasionally a brief conversation before delving into my next 1000 words on an essay. Or indeed quite possibly procrastinating, by means of writing this blog – like I am admittedly doing right now.
As always, on the top list of priorities for a student who requires are Wi-Fi and Power Sockets. Something that HatHats Coffee has got covered for you with Very Fast Wi-Fi (~70 Mb/s – SpeedTest coming ASAP); As well as a number of Plug and USB sockets by the windows. Although, you do have to be sat on the breakfast bar chairs to easily use them. If not, bring an extension lead – sorry Apple Mac users (after late 2016 model).
This is of course, also on our Bikers Hotspot listing. This is mainly down to a beautiful stretch of road going down to HatHats. About a mile stretch that condition permitting you can straighten and full throttle it down. If you play your cards right, you can also come in or go home via Maypole and reach Sturry Rd or Herne if that’s in your direction. It makes for a far more fun journey home. Just stay close to the left on a couple of the hills as some of the drivers are a little nutty.
