Benugo Waterloo

Benugo – a self proclaimed premium coffee house collective, or cafés as they may prefer. For me, the most poignant thing to note is the coffee blend – it’s different and I quite like it. It’s sweet and broad in its range of flavours. I have no idea what the blend is – but highly recommended for at least a wee taste test. If you know what the blend is – let me know in the comments.

More specific to the location is ‘Benugo Waterloo’, one of their seemingly many branches dotted around the UK. I just wish I had been to more. Particularly their first in Clerkenwell, est 1998 – which FYI, as of today is now on the HitList. It’ll be my first trip towards the Barbican Centre, in London – to say the least I’m excited. Perhaps Benugo’s marketing is just great so they all look fab, but they really do. For me, this particular cafe in Waterloo is more one of convinience than a heartthrob though.

I couldn’t find any power sockets, but it is certainly somewhere I could see myself getting stuck into my next 1000 words. Or perhaps, for a tech-biz traveller getting into your next Slack debate. Wi-Fi wise, I’m sure there would have been a connection if needed – but in London, the 4G is great – unlike many of the places local to me in Canterbury.

A biker’s paradise this really is not in the center of London Waterloo; But hey if you’re a traveller and on the trains and in passing then I would give it a quick look. And even if you’re not biking today, you can still get your espresso. Mind you if you are biking there and you are apart of the elite Londoner Motorcycle Squad – hats off. It’s something I need to learn to do myself, as when I get around to it – it will be quite the next level for the filtering game.
